Our NOMADS project for period 1 is at Enterprise,FL at the Children's Home. We started with a tour of the facility. It has a very good reputation as a great Children's Home.
We are parked on the grounds of the Children Home. It takes many volunteers to make these Homes successful.
This building is where we meet each morning for devotions. On the right are full bathrooms and laundry for our use.

Half of the team is working at this house about a mile away. The Children's Home had just purchased it so house parents can live here the week they are off. A couple are house parents for a week and then off a week.
All the rooms needed painting so Bob started cutting in this room.

Carol and Susan cut back and thinned out the plants around the house so the outside can be painted.
Carol finished landscaping and began rolling the rooms.
Sharon and Susan took off the cabinet doors and then Sharon painted the cabinet frame
while Susan painted the doors and drawers.
A new electrical box had been installed but there was a large hole at the bottom and space along the side. Bob filled it in and spackled it.
Two afternoons I power washed the house, fence and anything else Carol thought needed cleaning.
The rooms were painted so Carol and Sharon started painting the back porch.

Susan started painting the outside of the house. This house will be finished next week.
While we were working at the house the guys were working at the maintenance building. First they moved this wall to here. Larry explaining to me what they had done.
The front wall was framed

Jack and Mike helped get it secured.
Another wall built, sided, a door hung, and a roof put on and this building was finished by Thursday.
Even built a work bench.
And fixed the electric. A good start to our work here at the Children's Home.
