The double glass door, we boarded up each day, was damaged and needed to be replaced.
Dan removed the doors and all the framing.
A floor repair was needed by the door.
The new door being installed.
He then filled in the space on each side of the door.
We found a box of siding on the side of the house and Dan installed it around the door.
On Wednesday the door was finished. Looking good from the outside
and inside.
While Dan worked on the door the rest of the team mudded all the rooms on Monday and Tuesday.
Tony and Cindy cleaning up the tools. Still no water or electric in the house.
On Tuesday afternoon Larry and Linda arrived. They will be the leaders for the next three weeks, when this project ends. They were able to work with us on Wednesday. Larry trimmed out the drywall around the door frame and then finished dry walling and mudding it.
Everyone was busy sanding or mudding.
Linda vacuumed the room at the end of the day.
When we left on Wednesday all the rooms had been sanded once and most had a second coat of mud applied.
On Thursday we were invited to Rae and Anitra's home for Thanksgiving dinner.
We had ham and turkey and all the trimmings.
And lots of delicious desserts, Rae and Anitra have made NOMADS feel part of the church family in many ways and we are very thankful for all their hospitality.
